aCalendar+ is my preferred android cal app

Nextcloud keeps my contacts, calendars with events. They are synced with davx5 (free on fdroid, affordable on googlePlay).

I didn't use tasks because I found no way to sync them from nextcloud. But tasks would be much more practical than events in many cases.

In a current version aCalendar+ supports syncing of tasks with: Google Tasks, Microsoft ToDo or local. But not CalDav which is supported by nextcloud.

Sad for me til I saw that tasks.org closes the gap:

tasks.org app is free but comes with a subscription model required for advanced functions like CalDav. You choose your annual fee, minimum 1€/year which isn't much. But if you can't afford, fdroid version gives advanced features for free. Don't do that unless you are forced to.

In the app you configure the tasks accounts (like nextcloud). Then tasks.org offers you a nice GUI to work with tasks.

And after that aCalendar+ offers you to include these tasks with adding an account using webdav (tasks.org). That's really nice!

• there's an authorization issue. Look up in aCalendar and/or tasks.org docs (as I remember no more how it worked exactly)
